The Apps tab is an important section of the RTLS platform that enables you to take advantage of its full functionality. Once you enable the RTLS platform, you can access three key functions in the Apps tab.
NOTE:Please avoid making changes to the settings in the Apps tab unless specifically instructed to do so by Navigine team.
1.1. Tracking also has two settings: object_ttl and cluster_distance.
Object_ttl - refers to the amount of time an object will continue to be displayed on the tracking map after the device stops sending signals to the server.
Cluster_distance - is a clustering function used on the front-end of the tracking map. This function "merges" several objects on the map into one, indicating the total number of objects merged (similar to how car-sharing apps show fewer icons on the map as you zoom out, but still display a number indicating the number of cars in the area).
1.2. Workday picture has three settings: time_limit, distance_limit, and smoothing_factor.
time_limit - splits the line by time. For example, if we build a report for a day, and the user walked for 3 hours in one part of the map, turned off the device, and appeared in the opposite part of the map after 8 hours, using this parameter will result in two different lines on the map. The value of this parameter sets the division of coordinates by time. If the difference between the time stamps is greater than the time_limit value, a new line will be created.
distance_limit - same as time_limit but for distance. If the values of adjacent coordinates differ (or kx or ky) by distance_limit, a new line will begin. This is needed for similar reasons as time_limit.
smoothing_factor - literally, it is the rounding factor. This parameter allows the user to use data smoothing (can be turned off by setting the value to 1). The number corresponds to the number of points to be averaged. For example, if we have 10 coordinates, the moving average between these 10 points will be displayed on the map. This allows smoothing out some navigation outliers.
1.3. Reports are activated automatically when online tracking is enabled, but you can add more reports. Go to this link to read more
2. Team: This function allows you to change the roles of existing users and add new users.
3. Locations: This function is used to add locations that you want to track online. You can add multiple locations.
Options - which allow you to customize the app settings
Team - which determines the users who can manage the application
Locations - which specifies the locations that will be visible for tracking
By following these steps, you will be able to create an app for tracking that will help you stay on top of your maps, devices, visitors, and data in real-time.
