This guide is your fast track to deploying a fully functional indoor navigation system using Moko Smart BLE hardware and the Navigine platform.
Whether you're setting up a demo or preparing for a full-scale deployment, we'll walk you through each step—from uploading your floor plan to placing beacons and activating real-time positioning. Our goal is simple: to help you turn your physical space into a smart, navigable environment with minimal friction and maximum clarity.
Each step is designed to be intuitive and purposeful. You'll not only learn how to configure your system, but also understand why each action matters—how beacon placement affects accuracy, how zones shape user experience, and how digital mapping brings your building to life.

¶ Step 1. Set up your location
- Sign in at https://navigine.com/login
- Upload your floor plan (one image per floor)
- Define walls, restricted areas, and navigation zones
- Add rooms or key areas as Points of Interest (POIs)
- Add venues or rooms as points of interest.

¶ Step 2. Upload Image of Floor Plan
Start by uploading a floor plan image. This becomes the foundation for everything else—barriers, beacons, and routing.
¶ Step 3. Draw Barriers
Mark walls and inaccessible zones to shape the navigation logic.
Tips:
- Outline the map's perimeter with a 5–10m wide barrier to contain navigation
- Exclude non-navigable rooms by covering them with barriers
- Thicken walls (0.5–1m) near sensitive areas to prevent signal bleed
- Avoid placing beacons in these zones to maintain route accuracy
Don't forget to hit Save in the top-right corner.
¶ Step 4. Map Out Routes
Draw the paths users will follow. Make sure they respect the barriers and reflect real-world movement.

¶ Step 5. Add Venues
Venues are destinations like elevators, meeting rooms, or restrooms. Tag them on your map to make them searchable and navigable.

¶ Step 6. Add Elevation Points
For multi-floor buildings, place elevation points (e.g., stairs, elevators) at the end of each floor’s route. This links navigation paths across levels.

¶ Step 7. Install Beacons
- Identify coverage zones
- Mount beacons 10–15m apart, ideally on ceilings or high walls
- Keep spacing consistent and avoid metal obstructions
- Ensure 2–3 beacons are visible from any point
- Prioritize intersections, corners, and corridor ends
¶ Step 8. Add Beacons in Navigine Demo App

The app allows users to access the navigation system on the go and provides a simple and user-friendly interface for navigation.
- Enable Bluetooth and GPS
- Log in and open the Locations tab
- Select your configured location
- Tap Start to detect and place nearby beacons
- Or manually enter UUID, Major, and Minor values
- Tap on the Cloud button to sync your beacon map to the server
¶ Step 9. Head over to the Navigation tab
If everything was set up properly, a blue dot will appear on the map indicating the current location. Select any venue or point on the map to build the route and press start to experience navigation.
